After graduation, I joined a well-known Silicon Valley mentor and started working with local incubators and accelerators. We took one meetup with less than 200 members and started running events. This has expanded to more than 1,000 members and continues to grow.
I also participated as a mentor in regular cohorts for the local community. I'm a regular participant at Founders Space, GSV Labs, Maker School, Mind the Bridge, Runway, etc. The courses that run at these places are mostly related to marketing and/or business.
One month after starting the meetups, we were invited by Runway Inc. to become resident mentors and subsequently. We launched Resource Center for Scientific Marketing (www.rcsm.io). This is a tactical program to attract a diversity of founders into Runway's marketing funnel.
I'm also affiliated with West to West org in helping International founders (mostly Portuguese) work on market fit and product localization.
Before joining Facebook, I also started working with the Portuguese Consulate General in San Francisco.
This consulate has a tight relationship with Portuguese "AICEP", and thus the "Startup Portugal" initiative in San Francisco. I promote Portugal to investors and founders, according to the stage of the program.
